Online Vinyl Deals

Waiting patiently for a site to have Herbie Hancock's The New Standard Verve By Request go on sale for a decent price while trying to avoid all these other deals. I successfully skipped the Oldies.com shenanigans but the SOV "free" records got me with the Sonny Rollins and Tom Petty Full Moon Fever. Only $25 shipping! 🤪

I really want it, but not $60+ Canadian dollars want it!

Yeah, that's why I got my fingers crossed for a UMe Black Friday sale or something similar to come along in the next week or so. While it was not part of their "free" record sale, SOV does have it listed for about $39 US which is... better but I'm still hoping to save a few more bucks.

I’ve been thinking about this “$0 records, exorbitant shipping” affair. I’m no tax expert, but I think SOV is basically trying to dodge taxes (and minimize losses) by stating that they’re not making any money from selling those records, and instead are only recouping shipping costs. It works for us, I guess, but it feels a bit shady.

They must have pressed a million of those…might bite if it gets under $100 this holiday season. It’s getting close
Was just a lot of Ornette pressed at the same time! the BN and the craft box. Craft box has gone down to $40.

The problem with reducing price on everything is that not many feel the need to buy stuff at full price anymore...I've massively slowed down on my TP and BN Classic purchases because most drop to $25 or less and under $20 for the BNCs.

That Sonny Craft box is nice, especially for that blow out price. I really like the actual box it came in.
