Far from Home was a bit of a mess, but I’m always down for weird Jake Gyllanhaal.
Shazam! was really fun and heartfelt. I'm hoping DC continues to make films that don't take themselves quite as seriously and lets their characters thrive in the ridiculousness of it all.
HAH We watched The Raid earlier this year and I was just thinking about it. John Wick plays for a little more depth which I appreciate but at the same time I can't help but think in not quite getting there might end up being the weaker movie. We haven't gotten to The Redemption for some reason, must've been distracted by something.I definitely recommend anyone that likes John Wick 1 to watch The Raid: Redemption. Its action is wayyyy better and it keeps the same compact type of story as John Wick 1

Ah, so it is. Meant Raid 2.The Raid 1 and The Raid: Redemption are the same film, iirc.
The Raid 2 is such a tonally different film from the first one that it's almost not fair to include it in this comparison. The Raid 1 > John Wick 1
The Raid 2 < John Wick 2

Definitely agree, lots of tastefully understated interactions.John Wick is quietly very funny. Michael Nyquist's performance elevates the whole movie.
Surprisingly good movie. Karl Urban's faceless portrayal was fantastic. If you guys liked the raid, you should watch
If any of you dont mind really disturbing gore involving men, women, children, and a duckling, I'd say to check out "The House That Jack Built." Easily the darkest comedy I've seen, and Matt Dillon kills it as Jack.
Cinematography is fantastic too
Not in the least! I’ve seen nearly half the movies, but am especially deficient on the early ones. Just in time for me to have finally canceled my Netflix disc service.@Bull Shannon Blank Check's Miyazaki miniseries is starting soon. Are you prepared?
