Everything Video Games!

Oh, I thought that was an expansion or something, not sure though. I picked up the new DOOM and Dishonored 2 in this sale too. Couldn't pass it up.
Ok so I see it referred to as a "standalone expansion" pack. But it just seems like its own game to me. Funny things is they had those 3 plus the expansions for like $23 "on sale" and then under it had the price if you bought them individually: ~$21.

Both are so good. if you want a lighter mood I'd go with Spider-Man and for a more serious tone God of War. Hard choice though as it's not really that black and white.

Think I'm leaning towards Spidey. My gaming habits skew towards tough games (Dark Souls) or games that are a bit more glum in their story (RDR2), and just bouncing around a map sounds like fun right now.

If just bouncing around the map sounds fun, you'd be hard pressed to pick a better game than Spider-Man. It is really fun just to websling around.

Edit: God of War definitely moved closer(ish) to dark souls combat from the old God of War games though, if that makes you any more excited for it next.

Bouncing around the city, at least in my 7-8 hours so far, is what the game does best. The movement controls are butter. If you played Sunset Overdrive (which they developed too), the controls are basically that adapted to how Spidey would move.

Also, you can bump up the difficulty with both Spider-Man and God of War.

Sunset is still the best new ip xbox one exclusive and I have no idea why they didn’t make a sequel.

Same, that game was an absolute blast and the story was pretty hilarious. It also had the most insane multiplayer I've ever seen. A bunch of people racing around with weapons that cause high volumes of explosions is pure madness.

Having fun with Doom, definitely been a while since I played a straight forward FPS like this. Appropriate choice for N&G metal month.

didn’t get to play at all three houses yesterday. i had to move out of my apartment in gainesville this month, and it took me like ten days to get everything out into a storage, finished packing and moving yesterday at 5pm, then had to drive all the way to south florida to my parents’ house for five hours and got there at 11pm. i was conflicted with how to pre-order/get the game on release day bc i didn’t know if i would have been in gainesville or soflo. chose to pre-order the deluxe edition months in advance to ship to my parents’ house for pre-caution. ended up working just fine!!

It is very very good.

I'm so jealous of you guys and your Fire Emblems. I tried my luck at Walmart (it was $10 off) on Friday afternoon but it was long sold out. Oh well.

200-hour games are right up my alley. If anything, it's easier to justify to my wife why I'm spending $50-$60 on a single game. I usually play through RPGs at least twice, sometimes three times anyway, so I'm basically this game's target demographic.

(That said, I still have my second FFXII run to finish. Only a couple of dungeons plus some superbosses to go.)

It seemed like quite a few places were sold out. I wonder if they really underestimated the demand for this game in the states

I looked Fire Emblem up to see why everyone was so excited about it, but it's a tactics game... I hate tactics games.

I'm debating whether or not to pick up Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. I love a good beat 'em up.

Walmart only stocked 3 copies, and they sold out in 45 minutes per the employee I talked to.

Diversity is the beauty of VGs. I can't stand beat 'em ups, butI'm a sucker for JRPGs (including tactical; I've probably logged over 250 hours of FF Tactics on a tiny iPhone).

I've heard reports internationally that it's the same situation. I think demand is totally outstripping supply.

Good sign!
