That Escalated Quickly (aka Common Records Turned Rare)

For real. I saw one sell on Reddit for $95 and couldn’t believe it!
I can’t see DMB ever letting this stay OOP for too long now that it’s actually out on vinyl but who knows. I think it’s weird that they haven’t done a full blown vinyl reissue campaign for all the albums. I really thought they were going to continue with it but nothing surfaced for BTCS and then no indication of any other studio albums since. COVID and manufacturing delays probably don’t help, but still.

“Under the Table and Dreaming” also goes for crazy prices these days. I too am surprised at that. Maybe it’s just COVID delays but I think people would eat them up.

They’re pretty bad at keeping things in print, let alone printing things at all in the first place (this one was a first press). They seem to prioritize their new stuff and Live Trax.

This one in particular was pressed in 2016 and am guessing retail was just able to empty their shelves of it.

I think at this point they’re probably waiting for the 25th anniversary for BTCS which is in April of next year. After that there’s only 3 studio albums that haven’t been issued.
New album could be released at some point this year.
I’ve also heard that Listener Supported is going to get the vinyl treatment as well.

I’m actually surprised that Dave’s solo album hasn’t been done yet.
