The National - Cherry Tree Club

Looks like my Volume 3 is out for delivery.
Did it ship from Maine? I just received an informed delivery notification of something ready to ship, and I have no clue what it is other than it's coming from California. I have so many things on pre-order, but can't match up the tracking number yet.

Nope mine shipped from Portland Maine on the 22nd. They must be shipping these priority mail.

I was just giving you a hard time since all my Bullmoose packages come out of Portland too. Excited that someone is getting their Cherry Tree packages.
Yeah, I gocha. I am not going to lie, I still haven’t broken the seal on Vol. 2 yet. I love the National but I probably have too many of their LPs on vinyl already it’s hard to fit them all in. I wish it was going to someone that dying for it now, it’s been 6+ months already. I didn’t need to be a part of the first batch but obviously I’ll take it.

Not that anyone truly cares, but the National stuff (recently, anyway) comes out of SOUTH Portland while bullmoose comes from Portland proper. I'm not ashamed that I know that.

Also, if you haven't been, you should all go to Portland. It's a really great city.
Which is the good part?

That was the last place I saw the National. Portland is a great little city!

The art print is pretty nice. It appears to be silk screened but isn’t numbered or signed not that it really matters.
Interesting that it’s a different color print than the one earlier photo. I guessed it would be something like that which is different in color since the earlier packs had a different color wrist band or different color beanie. I was hoping it was a different color koozie as I liked that blue print that someone already received.

Most of the food and drink scene is centered around Bayside and The Old Port. Munjoy Hill and the West End are cool residential neighborhoods that are fun to wander around. It's a small city, so it's easy to explore.

Thompson's Point? I'm jealous! I've been their to drink beer but never for a show. I'm always looking for an excuse, but most of the ones I've wanted to see have been mid-week.

Yup! It was a cool spot that unfortunately rained for most of that day but miraculously stopped right before the show. It still went on and was a blast!

We skipped Portland since we saw them in DC and had to drive home in the worst torrential rain ever so we could make our flight to Montreal from Newark the next morning. We were offered 2K per person to be bumped from the flight, but my rule for the Nats is NEVER fly on show day. We were out walking after breakfast the morning after and saw Bryce, Kyle & Ben. They had just arrived and told us they hit a moose on the drive from Maine. They looked exhausted.
