Everything Video Games!

My wallet is screaming in pain right now, but I am in the best of moods. With Banjo being in Smash, there's a good chance we may see a new game.

The possibility of another Banjo game gets me so hyped. I started cheering from my desk (working from home) when they revealed it. Their troll job at the beginning with Duck Hunt almost got me.

My buddy and I were chatting on discord during the reveal. My responses are a tidal wave of emotions packed into three words over roughly 10-seconds

"Banjo?"
"nope..."
"YES!!!"

Found out something extra cool about the Banjo reveal. The remix music was actually done by Grant Kirkhope. I didn't know this, but normally Nintendo does the remix music for Smash in house. Grant said in an interview that Nintendo reached out to him to do the music. Huge honor, no wonder he's been gushing since the reveal.

I was reading about the 50 minutes closed door gameplay demo they did for Cyberpunk 2077, It turns out you're going to be able to have a completely non lethal play-through if you want. They showcased the same mission approached two separate ways. One with a sneaky hacker build, and the other with an aggressive bruiser build. @gouis maybe that'll help assuage some of your doubts.

Also it sounds like they're going to have LASER GARROTTES

Am I the only one excited about PhantasyStar Online 2?

I actually hadn't heard mention of PSO2 and just looked up the announcement... This is super cool. I've been playing PSO2 off and on for years, there's a team that's done a great job translating the game into English, but still there are parts of the game that are untranslated and it'll be nice to just get to start fresh and to fully know what's going on as I play. I'm glad you mentioned this!

I just watched some PSO2 gameplay... it looks terrible...

It's definitely not a for-everyone kind of game... I adored the original Phantasy Star Online ages ago and there's a soft place in my heart for it, but I can totally see not finding it interesting. I quite enjoy it, but my interest comes and goes... I'll actively play for a month or two, then neglect it for several months... I don't see it becoming huge in the US, but I imagine most US players will move to official US servers once it does release. For me, it fills a roll similar to "Diablo-like" games, where I can just plug twenty or thirty minutes blowing stuff up and it's a bit repetitive but peaceful. :)

So tonight I finally redownload P.T.! I had a Mac before so the Suwi program wouldn’t load to it but I got a cheap HP stream and downloaded Suwi and without an issue used it as a proxy for my PS4 and everything after that was easy peasy. Now I’m wetting my pants playing again....I cannot take this tension! Lol

Listening through Mort Garson's Plantasia and gosh, this sure seems like a point of inspiration for Zelda's theme from Ocarina of time onward.

I THOUGHT THE SAME THING.

I was listening the other day for the first time and I had to double check my Spotify to make sure I selected Plantasia and not Zelda and Chill or something. Major Zelda vibes (especially OoT for me) from Mort. (Or I guess it’s major Mort vibes from OoT/LoZ)
