Vinyl Me Please Country

On the top of my wishlist for this sub was a good reissue of Dwight Yoakam "Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc, Etc" since ive heard bad things about the 2014 reissue.
But I suddenly noticed tracks disappearing on Apple Music and saw that Dwight is suing Warner over Music rights on the masters. So I pulled the trigger on an original press of this which I'm happily listening to now, since we may not be able to get a new pressing of this for a longggggg time.
I haven’t checked in a while but an original pressing used to be fairly common and reasonably priced, sounded great too. Has the OG gotten scarce?

Always loved Gone by Dwight Yoakam too. And of course Guitars, Cadillacs. Is there anything else I need to jump on?

Not yet, but I would say it's getting a bit harder to find a good condition one. That could very well be a temporary thing though because of the lawsuit. Didnt want to risk it though since I love this album and other OGs become much rarer even when you can listen on streaming.

Grabbed a sealed one off of Discogs (for than I probably should have paid honestly) but don't regret it for a second. Sounds great

His first five albums are pretty untouchable in their quality.

I'll echo that and also add on that his last 5 are also pretty great. Starting with 'Population Me' he has had a pretty damn strong second run.

I would have suggested that VMP Country get around to Mark Chesnutt's "Tradition Lives" recent release but I see Mark's putting out 100 copies on vinyl for the first time, so maybe after that initial run somewhere down the line? Truly great album. I am also hoping Clint Black's first two albums get released eventually, that Storf's 'research' was into those two. Here's also hoping he partners with Oh Boy and gets Kelsey Waldon's "Goldmine" out on the gold vinyl it deserves.

if for some reason they sucker me back in, do we know if this is a full standalone (ie I can just give them money for this as my main) or is it only an add-on to an already existing main (ie they extort us)?

Still no idea of AAA or pressing location yes?

I think it's a very strong bet that it will be AAA and in a foil stamped tip-on jacket. Pressing location probably depends on if it's colored or not. Probably color and plated at QRP/pressed at GZ. I think the only ones they press at QRP are the Classics because they are black and QRP doesn't wanna do fancy colored vinyl (though they did do the solid color vinyl for the dead box set)
