Right. I clicked through the link on the email and... Wow. I am not a prude, but... I am fairly certain that is the most graphic album cover I've ever seen. I'm sure others more graphic exist, but I've never seen bush on a cover before! :LOL:

I don't like the music enough to buy it, so it's a non-issue for me either way. I was kind of proud of VMP for going the full monty for a rising artist, though. 🤷‍♂️

I thought everyone grew up with a record store that had Party Records behind that counter due to the racy nature of their covers. I didn't realize how lucky I was.

Well, yeah. But that's a sculpture... I know it was considered controversial at the time. I have a copy of the censored LP in my collection!

Of course I've seen those, but that was more T&A/pinup kind of stuff, IIRC.

I don't think it's offensive. I was just surprised to see it as a splash page on VMP!

I just looked it up. Boom! I had not seen that cover before, lol. I wonder why the label didn't go with it?

So my Pylon came and its a bit off on the color description. Even the warning email looked a lot greener than this. This is literally a streak of green on blue. And man, these two Pylon records are some if the dirtiest out the sleeve I've seen in a bit.

Yeah, that one doesn’t look like the mock-up much at all unfortunately. That’s annoying it’s dirty too. Hopefully it sounds great after a clean and plays through nicely! 🤞
 
I had a big box from VMP today with some records that I had almost given up hope on. I need to open them all up but included was:

Coleman Hawkins - The Hawk Flies High
Harold Alexander - Sunshine Man
Sun Ra - A Fireside Chat with Lucifer
Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo (which isn't something I have heard before but heard a lot of hype, so hopefully it will be worth the purchase)
Gorillaz - Song Machine, Season One
Roland Haynes - 2nd Wave

Looking forward to digging in.
