One caveat is both records I got jackets for were recent ROTMs. I've also gotten some damaged exclusives, and I was only provided a bit of credit. So it could be just the ROTMs that they've started this option. Not sure.

Regardless, they've actually worked on something! Kind of blowing my mind.
 
How soon does the VMP store ship orders? Placed 9/24, no update for a week.
Not sad to be leaving them.

Yeah this is stuff I ordered 3 months ago, when all of this was completely unmentioned in ordering and unknown to me. But now they can’t fix it because “it wouldn’t be fair”? I mean, fair to who exactly? I just want them to ship the stuff I ordered rather than having it wait til November because I ordered Sonny Sharrock at the same time. Maybe canceling $600 worth of orders will get their attention? At this point I kinda doubt it. Wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t reply to my order cancellation for weeks.

I’m just going to be glad to be done with them. I’ve lost the “fear of missing out” now, and when that illusion is gone then there’s little reason to keep putting up with this service.
 
Just getting to my September VMP box.

I, Jonathan is awesome. Could do without the bonked corner and seam split on the inner sleeve - thanks VMP shipping 🤦‍♂️ - but the music is so much fun. This will get a ton of spins.

On the Tender Spot of Every Calloused Moment is my Record of the Year. Beautiful and brilliant.

And Sonny Rollins and Gary Bishop, Jr. are also excellent deeper cut jazz albums.

I'm out after my bridge offer is up - The price is too damn high! - but they do curate some excellent picks.
 
Uhhhh anyone else get this regarding Dashboard Confessional?
I asked them to split this order since Sonny Sharrock was also ordered with it and I was tired of waiting for DC to ship. They obliged and then I got this email today. However, it is still showing as in stock?? They pull this shit right after I gave the benefit of the doubt and renewed my subscription. :mad:

Nope. I chatted and spoke to Tyler. He confirmed it was canceled (both copies since I ordered one for a non-member). No apologies and no offers or anything. Not even the 10% off code back which I used on those. I told them to go ahead and cancel the MTV unplugged I ordered to go with it.

I really wish I had not re-subbed at this moment. Either way, I am no longer playing their exclusive games and just going with the 1 monthly record from now on out.

So it was released like 3 years ago? Something like that and depending on your membership. At the time it cost something like $23 to $26 (tax free). In 3 years they have determined that the same exact record is worth twice as much (plus tax). That is some crazy inflation.

Fuck these guys...they are absolute garbage...it’s a shame they ruined something that was so good
 
Just ordered some records from Newbury Comics, and was humming and hawing over the cost of International Shipping ($40 USD for 5 records). But doing the math on it, it's the same all-in cost* as with VMP, now that VMP have raised their prices, just VMP builds the shipping cost in. (*If I don't get hit with customs charges.)
