RSD 2020

Did anybody here get the Planet Wax: Sci-Fi/Fantasy Soundtracks On Vinyl book? I'm intreigued but was curious as what somebody that has one thinks about it? My local still has some online and I was thinking about grabbing one. Wanted to check first since I am not able to see it in person since stores are not open to public yet.

@LeeVing I think had someone grab it for him but I am not sure if he has it yet.
 
Everything's canceled through Bullmoose now. Took 3 or 4 emails, but they got em all, as expected.

I picked one up for Lee. It was a heavy, good quality looking book. Didn't see inside though.
 
Came across this on Fat Beats. I thought this was a UK RSD Drops item unless that changed. Wonder what the chances of actually being fulfilled are.

A lot has been changing. Fat Beats mentioned that RSD is slow to adjust things on their end, when I was asking them about the Dirty Three drop, yesterday. I'd say you have a good chance. I'd check the pressing numbers on this one and see if they line up. Dirty Three was initially 400, but got ramped up to 1k

It looks like the RSD site says 1000 UK and 2500 Worldwide.

I ordered this as well but don’t have it in hand yet. I did pick up Blood on Black Wax — the horror equivalent — on RSD last year and can recommend the concept and entertainment factor. A couple of caveats — don’t approach it as an encyclopedic reference. There will be gaps in releases covered and credits. And the writing is inconsistent, which I can appreciate. It would take a helluva effort to write fresh, amazing copy about every single release covered. But I enjoyed it enough to pick up Planet Wax this year.
