Pre-Order Thread

With the Bob Mould, I am confused why they did entirely different album covers?
It's a special limited box set, so the new art distinguishes it. And, Simon Marchner is a terrific artist, his gig posters are lovely.
Maybe they will release the LPs separately with their original art in the future? EDIT: Demon did release Copper Blue, Beaster, FUEL, Besides and Bob Mould in 2020 with the original cover art.

OMG...

Sadly it's SOLD OUT!!! Bbbbuuuuttttt it seems like you can maybe preorder it from here: Mr. Bungle - The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny Demo [Indie Exclusive Limited Edition Clear with Blood Red Splatter 2LP] | RECORD STORE DAY

It's a re-recording of their old high school Thrash demos or something. Original lineup as well with special guests Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo!

I pre-ordered an indie exclusive thanks to someone else but I'm unsure if I'll want this long term. Hearing the newly released "Raping Your Mind" does not help build my anticipation.

I love Mike Patton, and some Bungle, but I prefer when he actually sings instead of screaming everything.

I had one of these as a kid. Ah, my first record player....

I literally have one of these within arm's reach:

Dream poppers and shoegazers alike, look no further than here for your next purchase. Take a peek at the album on your streaming service of choice (their earlier stuff is more glitch tho)

I'm going for this cause of really like the artwork and the bonus disc with the Vic chesnutt duet. So if someone wants the box of sugar box set for around 50€ let me know. I could also throw in my older used copies of black sheets of rain and workbook or pig them separately. this is my favourite era of Bob moulds work. It's a bit sacrilegious but I prefer these two solo albums and the sugar albums even to hüsker dü

The Foxfire Sound Vol. 1

This is an interesting one. The Foxfire House is a *very* nice B&B my wife and I have stayed at in the Catskills mountains in upstate New York. One of the biggest things that struck me during out stays (besides the excellent food, drink, and the property) was the next-level quality of the music played in the restaurant and parlor.

The Foxfire House has partnered with Numero Group to release a limited edition LP with tracks curated by the proprietor selected to reflect the sound and atmosphere of the Catskills region. Apparently he's a DJ in addition to a hotelier, so this all makes sense!

Regardless, this definitely seems like a curiosity, but there will for sure be some true gems on this compilation!

A variant that matches the artwork.

Have to say, this might be the most inconsistent album among any major band. There are such highlights on this album and a number of mediocre and a few just terrible songs.
it definitely feels the most dated to a specific era in some ways - early 90s rap cameo, B-52s showing up, and then a bunch of pseudo-Fairport Convention songs as hair metal is dying and grunge is emerging.

Would have loved to have seen them try this style of album later on in their career, but without Losing My Religion, who knows what the rest of that career looks like.
