If anyone here sends stuff to US regularly, Royal Mail are heavily hiking up the price of postage from tomorrow, think on average will cost an extra £5 or so. Don't see any difference between inland parcels or UK to EU prices.

Damn, is that a permanent thing or just because of COVID-19? I tend to send a lot of records abroad which the buyer pays for, but if they bump it up I don't there would be as much interest as its already pretty pricey.
 
So i decided to resub for 3 months - The pull of Aug & Sept releases plus me wanting Blossom Derie and Fiona apple dragged me back. Ha im explainging myself :)
So i wanted records big fucking surprise.
Anyhow any UK members got or received shipping email for this month - Im stuck om pending and seems quite late in the month....

I have my records from this month already (McCoy Tyner, Prince Paul, and White Stripes) and just received Sun Ra after getting shipping info 8 days ago. Think it might be worth you popping an email off to CS.

Yeah, I'm back in after being given a 3 for 2 deal. I went with Jorge Ben, and I've had a delivery notice. I applied about 2 weeks ago and got the email within a week or so. Will let you know when I get the record.

I resubbed on a 3mth deal, no shipping notice yet but it was only last Thu (I think) that I signed up.

Hi! Just checking if we have anyone left who is still a VMP member for September?

Asking for a favour if anyone is willing! I’d really like the spiritualized record but don’t want to sign up and pay $52 for it!

I was wondering if any member who doesn’t want it, or has a free swap, would be willing to pick it up for me? I’d happily pay the old sub cost, or the new swap cost of $33, to get my hands on a decent pressing of this album! Also of course I’d pay for the shipping for it too!

Thanks in advance and me a shout anyway if you are able and willing!

Is it possible do choose an add on and swap to Spiritualised ? Probably unlikely....
To be clearer - Im getting the record but have no add ons.
 
Morning all!

Has anyone who has moved with their collection got a recommendation for a good cardboard storage box to use? I'm planning ahead, and need to get a bunch for the Oz move.*

*and I've filled up my current storage, so packing away some stuff gives me space for fresh grabs!

I can’t really help you with your main question, but are you planning on taking the whole collection to Oz?

Yup. It looks like we will be needing a crate anyway, as we want to ship furniture over. If we're doing that, we might as well take over all our books and records, especially as they are so expensive out there. It's 500 records, so not a daft amount. I may trim out 10% or so, but I really can't be arsed with selling them on Discogs or anything like that.
