Yeah that’s unacceptable. For the premium these things cost they have to be ready to fix any issues. I would be furious

Vinyl Me, Please is getting a little too comfortable with "sorry we didn't get you what you paid for, but let us keep all your money and you can have something else you didn't actually want". They've done it multiple times with oversold swaps.

I feel like in this situation the company was unable to provide you with what you purchased, so you should get a full refund. You're not friends. This is a company that planned poorly. The loss should be 100% on their side and 0% on yours.

The worst thing with the charge back is you'll get a free set of everything else. I suspect if they got notified they would miraculously find a copy.

I happy for you. It is still super shitty that they make people press so hard to get them to do the right thing. Many less assertive people get fucked out of things because it’s not in their nature to press back. They should not put their customer base in that position, they didn’t use to.

Trying not to count my chickens before they hatch...Not going to be happy about it until I have it physically in my hands hah.

And yes. It's absolutely insane to me that this is how their CS operates. You're right--they get away with it because people don't push back. But why would I possibly want membership credit when I don't even have a membership? They didn't even offer me a refund.

Now a different CS rep emailed me to say that they just shipped the album out to me today and sorry for any frustration/confusion...well as long as I get it I suppose!
 
Let us know what you think when you get it. Glad everything worked out. Well, it’s still VMP, you might get Freddie Gibbs - Bandana or the Jeff Buckley they oversold a few months ago. Haha. Never know with them.
