Online Vinyl Deals

I did the Target 3 for 2 and got the Herbie Hancock - The Prisoner, Tom Waits - Foreign Affairs and the O Brother soundtrack.
They are due next week sometime, but with how bad USPS has been I guess I'll see.
Now I guess I'll check the Amazon one....
For me at least, Target has been using UPS, not USPS. I got my records in 2 days so far, although some are backordered or preorders.

Just FYI, this is also available at Target for the same price, and it's part of the buy 2, get 1 free sale.

Welp, instead of spending almost $30 for Getz Gilberto I got Coltrane Ballads, Louis Armstrong Meets Oscar Peterson AND Getz Gilberto for $58.

Thanks!!

I really struggled not to buy these! But I have a lot of them already on vinyl so I prioritized things I don't own. Very curious to see how these all sound though. That's such a good deal.

I have a crappy version of Getz Gilberto that I’ve been meaning to upgrade, the others are new to me. Hoping they compare to the tone poets in terms of sound and packaging!

Yeah, I’ve heard of this! This is an awesome idea but I don’t think I can be bothered with this because I don’t like the idea of getting something shipped somewhere, then them shipping it to me. I feel like it’s a bit too time-consuming and that there would be a good chance that my parcel gets lost! 😅

Thanks for the link and recommendation though! I appreciate it! 😘
I would suggest you really reconsider. Go find a good one. Not all are. I live in Singapore and I have found a very very good forwarding service. They only send to Singapore though. Cost of shipping..... hear this: about $4 per record on average from the US to Singapore regardless of quantity and the shipments arrive within two weeks of them receiving the records in the US, Covid or no Covid. To date they have shipped 200 records to me. None was ever lost and every single shipment was faster than VMP

This is a new way that I've seen a store package a record. A full box, flattened and taped on all sides. Scissors for scale. Thanks Target. Somehow not damaged.

They are being resourceful I guess?? I bought a record from Guitar Center once (they had a bunch of accideals where their vinyl, which I never knew they sold, was marked at discount CD prices). They mailed one record in a box that was 24"x24"x24" and just threw some bubble wrap in to protect it haha.

This is much better than some packages from Amazon I received this week. The records were sent in plastic bags with no protection.

To no one's surprise, they all suffered damages during international transits, leading to refunds on all of them.

Same here, I luckily found a MFSL Kind of Blue on Amazon Warehouse, they sent it in just a clear plastic bag with the shipping label slapped on it. Im baffled it didnt get completely torn apart by UPS

That's how Target mailed me their Black Panther soundtrack exclusive when it came out a couple of years ago, minus the bubble wrap. Surprisingly, it wasn't damaged.

I want to but I shouldn’t because I’ll be spending way too much money! 💵

I’m so jealous of all the deals you all get in the U.S. though! Like it’s unreal! 🔥

Those Target and Amazon 3 for 2 promotions are incredible! And you guys already get records at a much cheaper price over in the U.S. than in Australia! Like, far out! 😂🙉

Record Stop has an under $20 sale.
687 titles, everything from Mingus to Iron Maiden and a few color variants too.

Anyone know the story with those blue-vinyl 2020 Anniversary Collection jazz titles on the Record Stop site? Possibly DOL label?
