Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

I've just had a look at the 30 best Rap albums of 2014 according to Rolling Stones and which titles apparently haven't been published on vinyl. Apart from the Future and Nicki Minaj record, these are the ones I found. Wonder if any of them could fit the other clues?

Young Thug & Bloody Jay, ‘Black Portland’ and Rich Gang, ‘Tha Tour Pt. 1’

Migos, ‘Rich OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE Timeline’

DJ Mustard, ’10 Summers’

Lil Herb, ‘Welcome To Fazoland’

DJ Quik, ‘The Midnight Life’

Kevin Gates, ‘Luca Brasi 2’

Chief Keef, ‘Back From the Dead 2

IamSu!, ‘Sincerely Yours’

Boosie Bad Azz, ‘Life After Deathrow’

Midnight Life would definitely be dope but give me Future over everything else on this list

I want Isaiah Rashad’s Cilvia Demo though! 🥺😢
the chance is SUPER high its future though

they did exclusives for DS2 and HNDRXX (gushy gush so soaky)... so they clearly have a good relationship with future and his label, it would be a decently big get, and unlike TDE there is an easier relationship, TDE is kinda weird with the vinyl releases

a thing about future i dont think even future understand is that he works best when he is fighting his own demons with his toxic emotions. weirdly he is an example of toxic masculinity creating honestly good artwork in DS2. he is clearly angry and violent and also clearly in a deep depression, and the only way he knows to fix it are drugs and gang shit. pluto and honest don't really go down into those depths in the way a project like DS2 or even some of the good songs off EVOL do

But how about Hammer? You remember the album Funky Headhunters? When he tried to reinvent himself by dropping the “M.C.” From his name and attempted to become a Gangsta rapper?

LOL, I was in Jr. High when this came out and even my pre-teen ass thought this was phony AF.

I remember the first time they played pumps n Da bump . I was about 15 I was in a Coconuts record store they played the video and I immediately ran up to a group of teenage girls and did his Pump n Da Bump dance while singing along.

So, are we thinking its Future this month? Have to admit that i've never been a fan of him, although I only ever listened to part of 'Pluto' (its not going to be that album is it?).

Funny thing is I never even meant to listen to that either. I ordered 'Saba - Bucket List Project', 'Kool G Rap & DJ Polo* ‎– Road To The Riches', and 'Big Daddy Kane ‎– Long Live The Kane' from Omerta Inc back in 2017 (just after they started up). Instead of the Big Daddy Kane they accidentally sent 'Future - Pluto' and refunded me after I flagged the error. I streamed to 1 or 2 songs from Pluto, wasn't a fan, then sold that copy for £100 a year later. So thats my experience of Future :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, there’s no way you would ever like a Future album! No chance! 🤣🤣🤣

its not pluto

honest is a bit more hip hop focused and less autotuned but definitely isn't as praised as his later work... i find him personally overrated but who knows maybe i might want it

VMP will have to defend this

I need it to complete my Future studio album vinyl collection and I really like the album too. VMP have one (it seems just one lol) happy customer if it is this ❤

Edit: Unless @Uknowwgtg is trolling me lets make that two 🤣
