Vinyl Me Please Classics

Who's ready to get that Aretha Now? I've also got the new John Moreland coming, it won't be here before it's released on Friday but hopefully I'll have it at the beginning of next week.
There's a new episode of the Ajax Diner Book Club ready for your ears. Jelly Roll Morton, Neko Case, Tom Waits, Bessie Smith, Dizzy Gilespie and many many more. Take a listen. Ajax Diner Book Club
Very excited!

I got lost in the "3 months at a time" clue talk. What do we know about next month's Classic selection?

Are they still doing guessing? I heard there was some drama that resulted in them pulling out of Reddit as well. Shame as I like the guessing aspect. m

@TCell keeps it updated on the first page.

Current Month's Guess Thread: March

Storf Context: "I think 2, maybe 3 of the first 4 in 2020 could all claim the title as "the biggest Classics release yet" and then the next 3-4 are a bit more smaller scale."

Hint 0: 1982, Not AAA, "Crate-Diggery"
Hint 1:

@TCell, do you think Storf will keep feeding you clues? I also enjoy that aspect of the picks.

He just did.

Clues from Storf:
"Caroline is Essentials, obviously.

Classics is 1982, jazz&B, probably the most "crate-diggery" LP in Classics until like, December?

RHH is 2002, and it's by a group."

OK, this is interesting. I don't think jazz&B is gonna be my thing but that's OK because I'm hoping I can go back and grab BB King.

Ha, awesome, thanks!

What the heck is Jazz & B?

Great album, but I see like 5 copies of this album in the 5 euro bin every record store I go to here 😂 So not sure how this would be crate-diggery.
Aww man I wish I would see an album like this in discount bins over here! Fun fact I just read, their keyboardist, Minoru Mukaiya, created a shit ton of jingles that you hear at train stations in Japan! They are quite pleasant.
