Freddie Gibbs & Madlib’s Bandana was $32 and Mariah Carey’s Daydream was $34 and they were both single LP’s! $32 is expensive for a single LP, but for The Idler Wheel, I’m totally in too!!!$32 is pricey for a new 1 LP, but for The Idler Wheel, I'll be in.
Because they literally emailed the new site to me saying my order had shipped.I don’t know why people are trying to access the new site other than to take a peak when it isn’t live yet (Also kinda crazy that they don’t have it password protected right now). They have said there were massive issues already with it which is why it has been delayed. So I wouldn’t take any stock in why your orders look wrong or what albums are up.

Hopefully the pressing sounds amazing though and isn’t just ‘good/average’ in sound quality like Daydream!
I know why people are taking a peak and why we have the link but the site isn’t done and people are already complaining that it’s awful and not showing their orders and asking why things are marked sold out hah.Because they literally emailed the new site to me saying my order had shipped.
I feel similarly but the fact that there doesn't seem to be anything unique about the VMP variant (no numbering or color or alternate cover) makes the FOMO stronger for me.So VMP accidentally leaked an unfinished site to a customer. Sounds about par for the course.
Seeing Fiona in the Beta store is exciting! Also, notice the wording...
"This record was pressed by Vinyl Me, Please and you can't get this specific variation anywhere else."
That wording feels very carefully selected after they said Black Pumas is "sold out everywhere" and people gave them shit about that when other variants were released (which was deserved). To me that also says other variants are coming. I fully expect VMP to announce first and really play up the FOMO factor, but don't be shocked if Fiona's new album gets announced that we see additional variants and possibly other/better exclusives from her site directly. That seems to be becoming the release trend for established artists.
Having said all that, if VMP announces first, I'll pull the trigger on it. But if/when others are announced I'd strongly consider cancelling my VMP order. If other stores are offering different variants even at the same price, I'd take those vs waiting 2-6 months for VMP's likely production delays.

Because of that I'll probably pull the trigger and feel the same way as you about cancelling if other options appear.
It’s unfinished too, it’s possible that is just a placeholder image until they get the VMP “exclusives” added. Who knows? About the only thing I am certain about at this point is both When The Pawn... and Idler’s Wheel... will both be for sale on wax through VMP within the next few weeks. All that being said, I have a feeling Fiona is going to make all her back catalog available on wax very soon (through a general release) including a single disc 33 rpm repress of Tidal. I think the exclusivity of these releases will be in lines with QOTSA. It doesn’t make sense to make these releases super limited.I feel similarly but the fact that there doesn't seem to be anything unique about the VMP variant (no numbering or color or alternate cover) makes the FOMO stronger for me.

I'd rather see an option for a bundle of all her reissues at her own store than play VMP's FOMO games.
I would not interpret too much for me into this sentence, because it is the standard they use for all exclusives in the old storeThis record was pressed by Vinyl Me, Please and you can't get this specific variation anywhere else."
I’m devastatedHoly crap.
I know this has been mentioned before, but my Willie Colon sounds TERRIBLE.
The bass, piano, and percussion... all those sound great.
The voices and the horns, though... imagine a $1 goodwill record that had been borderline destroyed by whatever the equivalent of a Crosley all-in-one would have been in the 70's, all hissy and yet muffly at the same time.
That STILL would sound better than this Willie Colon album!
Oh man, I'm so worried about my copy nowHoly crap.
