So… at the record store today… there was a record in the used bin that was 33 1/3 except for the fifth song (end of first side) that was 78. wtf?
Anyone ever pay for international shipping only to have something ship domestically? I ordered Morgan Saint's album from Diggers Factory. It's only available via D2C and was pressed to demand. The album price was listed in pounds and shipping was from the UK so it was like $24 S&H.

Diggers Factory ships out of different countries. Sometimes France, sometimes UK, sometimes US. Some releases are only available to ship from one of the locations and you don't get to pick, it's just based on what their system has available when you order. But if a release is selling big in the US, for instance, they'll ship a pallet over and then individual copies will go out over here.

@Hemotep if that is the case, I just wish they would adjust the shipping rate if they decide to ship domestically instead of from the UK.

@RenegadeMonster I don't necessarily disagree, I just don't think it's an easy thing to do logistically after the fact. Plus it's not like they're not still paying for international shipping, they're just shipping a crate rather than individually for the first step. It's probably better for your records arriving in good condition too.
I was able to get that Pharoah Sanders RSD release btw and it's so, so good. Any time I see Leon Thomas in the credits it's an instabuy for me. I can't get enough of jazz yodeling.
Nah I heard In the Air Tonight on the radio and it had added drum parts at the beginning. NEVER heard this trash before. I’m taking the rest of the day to recover.

This is the audio equivalent of that video of the guy pulling the center out of a cinnamon roll with chopsticks.

@Corycm as a cinnamon roll enthusiast I’m NOT siding with chopstick guy, BUT at least the middle is typically the best part! My ears were so offended hearing the drums. Especially when they went hit for hit on DO YOU REMEMBER portion. I cannot bring myself to look up why this version exists. So devastating.

I believe that's the single version. It has more drums than the album version.
I cannot find 1 store in Melbourne stocking both Passengers and Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci. Fernerkin my gherkin.

I went to JJ’s Vinyl in Chelsea Heights on the off chance that they still had the 1 copy of Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci. There were only 2 stores in Melbourne I found that were stocking it. Walked in and it was there. Also grabbed the Micheal Kiwanaka ep. In/out 30 secs. What about you?

I'm a five minute drive from JJ's! I didn't visit any shops today, but might pop round to see if they have the You Am I live album.

Oh man. I should have checked in. I can say that they definitely did have at least 1 copy around 1:30. They had 4 copies listed on their page. There are so few of us here from Melbs. Next RSD let’s check in and divide and conquer if we know what we want.

I haven’t read the article yet, but Fallon, Kimmel, Colbert still have musical guests. Hell the Daily Show has them from time to time.

I think it is some dubious looking at statistics honestly. Would be more accurate to state that there are less late night shows and more of them are a non-traditional format.

I am pretty sure this article was rigorously fact checked by the editorial team at Consequence.
