The Breeders Bandsplain episode is perfection. Teared up with the small discussion of Off You.

It’s nice to hear other people that have the same deep feelings for bands that I do and contextualize and discuss thoughtfully. It really is so meaningful to me.
US DOJ suing to break up Live Nation & Ticketmaster due to them running a monopoly.
Wow, so I guess Swifties ARE good for something!

Naw just have to show the plebes that the elites care about them. They just pick an easy target that is in the media. It is ok to be greedy and have a monopoly, just don't be so obvious about it.

Wh... which part? The Swifties taste for fresh blood part or the Ticketmaster part?
Should I grab tickets to see Kishi Bashi? They are $25 USD. I haven't really payed much attention to the music but I know several of you here really like him. 🤔
"I was never worried that synthesizers would replace musicians. First of all, you have to be a musician in order to make music with a synthesizer. One always has to remember these days where the garbage pail is, because it's so easy to make sounds, and to put sounds together into something that appears to be music, but it's just as hard as it always was to make good music." - Robert Moog, born this day in 1934.
While I appreciate the inclusion of newer artists on Apple's list, the omission of Ten is a head scratcher.
As much as I appreciate when an artist tries to be environmental and use recycled vinyl, I have yet to ever get a recycled vinyl pressing that sounds good. New Billie album sounds like the whole right channel is lined with a sheet of paper. Oh well.

Some people had issues with the new Shellac album I didn't have any issues with my copy, though and thought it sounded great. - "This new process uses 100% recyclable PET (like soda bottles) and is environmentally friendly, containing no PVC or Phthalates. The process also uses 79% less CO2 than conventional hydraulic PVC vinyl presses. "

Not a fan of "eco" pressings where they use the recycled flash cut from previous pressings. I don't think it has to do with being previously used vinyl, but the process that they use to make it back into pellets and reform it into pucks.

I also think pressing plants are looking at ways to cut corners and speed up production - which is why none of them have any or very little quality control departments any more.
Thank god this Apple list thing is done. Discourse around ranking art is always silly but when you are arguing every album ever made against each other it’s just an embarrassing clusterfuck.
The Decemberists tonight!

@gcowgill - they didn't have the new album on sale at the show, right? I have one on pre-order but would probably nab one tonight if they have them. I think my email said mid June for the release.

No, I don't think they did. I peeked at the merch table when I went in to the show, but after the show it looked like they were pretty wiped out of vinyl.
