Last one for awhile.

“Mixing modern psych and post-punk with improvised free-jazz style jams, ‘Dim Sun’ ... by Eye Make The Horizon the band...themselves have a fantastic pedigree with most of the band appearing in such renowned Swedish psychedelic outfits as Kungens Män, Fanatism, Automatism and Sista Maj." Drone Rock Records

'The saxophone is bloodshot eyes and sweatstains feverish, the drums a trashcan symphony that never loses sight of the middle distance, while the guitar roils and rolls almost in another plane, barely anchored to the noise being propagated here.'

Michael Kiwanuka - Kiwanuka

yeah so this album is pretty damn special. Michael Kiwanuka is one of those special artists who get better with each album. this is timeless and modern at the same time. Right up there with Ghosteen as the album of the year so far and it’s making a late outside run for the highest reaches of the album of the decade lists.

Ruen Brothers - All My Shades Of Blue

First spin of @ThePakoBuelna’s pick for the N&G Nov ‘19 RoTM! Enjoyed it, some good solid songwriting and performances here. Also a beautifully pressed and mastered album and a really nice quality record and heavyweight sleeve considering it was a cheap buy! I’ll give a better indication of what I thought in the RoTM thread after a few more listens!

I'm a sucker for cover records, especially those featuring little-known bands, and this is one of the best. Creative interpretations all the way around. Highly recommended and you can get it on the cheap.

Click the link below for an outstanding R&B/soul flavored interpretation of 'Four Sticks'.

Cat Stevens - Mona Bone Jakon
OG British pressing - Island - 1970
33 1/3 stereo VG+ vinyl condition

My second favorite of his albums (Tea for the Tillerman edges it out). The lyrics are showing his quiet and more introspective side. Plus it has “Trouble,” my favorite of his songs.

The vinyl is in VG+, and honestly considering how flimsy the covers are I’m surprised they are as decent as the are.
