Yeah, I couldn’t personally rationalize buying another Halloween soundtrack (I have this plus the soundtracks from the first three movies) since I just listen once a year. That said, if I see it on sale after Halloween...
 
I have not had an easy time reconciling the loss of Kim Shattuck. For the last two weeks, I have pulled these records out and then told myself “you’re not ready for this.” The more I have read about her in articles, and posts from people I know that were personal friends of hers… It’s just too fucking sad.

Then this morning I read an article about exactly how their final album was created and I am not sure when I have ever felt more inspired.

It doesn’t feel good to say goodbye… But it feels amazing to have the house to myself for a few hours to play these at full volume.

Rest In Power.

I spin most of my records in the morning while having breakfast. When I played this today, my girlfriend said: "Why would someone want to listen to this in the morning?" you know? She's right, and that's one of the main reasons I don't spin this album very often.

My wife's been listening to this one a lot this year and I finally came around and checked it out over the past few weeks. I wish I had a lot sooner, it's great!
