Been playing my Isley one a lot more than I expected too. Just a smooth listen and sounds so damn good, really glad I didn't swap. Wish they could come do an encore round with a RKS cut of 3 + 3.

How accessible is Experience Unlimited’s Free Yourself? Did anyone find it to be a challenging listen or did it click once it was on the platter? I’ve only been able to listen to it through YouTube and feel it didn’t do it justice. Also would you pick EU or Nat Turner to go for first?

Personally I prefer Experience Unlimited over Nat Turner (which I’ve maybe spun twice, I think the hype killed it for me. It was fine.)
EU sounds better on vinyl, imo.

I like them both. I was thinking swap on my first listen of EU but it grew on me fast and I'd say I prefer it.
It depends on the type of music you prefer tbh. EU holds zero interest for me but I loved Nat Turner.

Alice Coltrane is definitely a better album in my opinion. I’m so happy you getting that album
Thanks, I'm looking forward to it. i listened to it and I think that it's a little outside of my comfort zone, which I like. Kind of the whole reason I joined VMP.

Swapped for Joel Ross. I am worried about the pressing, but I listened to a stream twice of Celia and Johnny and knew I would never spin it. So Joel Ross is my Classics, just need to make faux-bi for it.

I lisened first time to Joel Ross today. That's a great album. Didn't know him before this.

It might not be everyone’s thing, but it’s a pretty huge record historically.

Celia and Johnny? Hell yes! This is one of the great Salsa records, and the one that jump started Celia Cruz' career into stardom.
I guess if you don't like dancing and/or Salsa it might not be for you?
