Or cigarettes & alcohol by oasis which was essentially the same song. They got off the lawsuit because apparently Marc Bolan had lifted the riff just as shamelessly from an old blues number that was, by then, out of copyright
Also T Rex. I’ll have to give this another listen but I’ve never really connected with them outside of the singles. Their albums kinda always felt like great singles + filler. I’ll give it a stream in the car on the way home.

I pretty much grew up with this album. It was a favourite of my sister and my best friend’s brother as well. When I hear this album I think of riding in the back of Don’s (my sisters boyfriend) Chevy Malibu with this on the 8-track as we go to the Tastee-Freez for shakes and ice cream.
A lot of people probably come to it via the classic rock radio angle, with Get It On etc. But what elevates the album are songs like Cosmic Dancer.

That is so bizarre. You can listen to it on the expanded version but not the standard version.

Reading up on Electric Warrior has made me dig it some more, by the end of the weekend I was pretty much feeling it. However, not really ready to write about it. Giving it a 4, could definitely see it being a 5 one day.
