I feel like To Be Kind is the post-reunion album most people regard as their best, and while I like that one, The Seer is on another level for me. It's just so massive and enveloping. It draws me into its twisted world for two hours, and once I'm immersed, it's other-worldly. Soundtracks For The Blind was in contention as well!

But the criteria I used was (1) I like listening to the album from start to finish (2) repeatedly (3) without having to be in a specific mood for it and (4) it makes me feel stuff every time I listen to it, even if the emotion is relaxation and/or nostalgia.

The Beach House album that made my top 50 was Thank Your Lucky Stars. In fact, that’s the highest-ranked album from the 2010s in my list. I expect it won’t make anyone else’s list.
