Sexy M.F.'ers...The Prince Fan Thread

The cds were part of the recent reissues. No word on vinyl yet.
What year? For Come I have an OG CD copy but see a 2008 RE as the most "recent". Not including ones with unknown dates in discogs. Same w old friends...2005 Japan or 2002 EU. And GE I don't see any since 95. Of course keeping in mind that discogs is only as good as the people putting in entries. But I don't remember any of those in the recent string of reissues.

I am SO EXCITED that Gold Experience is getting an RSD vinyl issue!!! I had no idea it was coming!
Me too, this is really great news. One of my favorite Prince albums!

I'm confused, is this not coming out on rsd? At first i thought it was coming out on rsd, and having a wider release on June 18th, but the website boldly points out its coming to record stores on June 18th.Screenshot_20220218-213545_Chrome.jpg

June 18 on the "RSD Drop" day.

My guess is that RSD doesn't want to keep branding RSD as multiple days a la the last couple of times 'cause of COVID. But - and this is my assumption - not everything can get pressed in time causes of delays. So they get back to RSD is only one day but have the drop day as, well, not officially RSD but keeps the interest and money changing hands while getting back to their original objective.

Now, can you order it from non-RSD pledged stores on 18 June since it's an RSD First and not really on RSD - that I'm not sure. But there's also 24K+ copies. I do wonder if the drop day is exclusive to pledged stores, if they'll do line ups like any 'ol RSD day.

Generally inconsequential to one's enjoyment of Prince, but I'm watching Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project. And there is a lot of footage centered around some 2006 shows Rickles did in Las Vegas. So, every now and again they have scenes that use footage of the strip/casinos from that time period - usually as segues into different interviewees or performances. One going down the strip passes by the Rio - where Club 3121 (10 Nov 2006 - 29 Apr 2007) was. Mr warmth.png
