talking to a couple stores very recently sales have been down with inflation, gas prices, etc sometimes there is no explaining escapes though.

Maybe it was just Newbury comics, but I thought so much stuff was wildly overpriced this year. Seemed like nearly every 2LP was $50+

Newbury is always priciest, but I'm with ya there was some real sticker shock in there regardless
The Bill Evans releases were $55 each at my store. I thought that was a little crazy…
I was surprised because last year their prices were way lower than most places I checked out.

Yup. Used to be I could expect a Steve Earle 7" to go for 11-13 Canadian doll hairs but todays was 17.99. 32-38.99 on most single LPs and $42.99+ for the doubles.
I kinda would've liked the Coolio but not at $54.99!! Especially because Fuck Tommy Boy.

Those were $55. Mingus was $75. Lots of other 2LPs were 45-50. I really did have some sticker shock
Yeah, lots of stuff that was on my “maybe” list quickly jumped to the “no” list when I saw the prices.

The RSD prices were so high that I didn't even really feel bad dropping some COIN on original Boris and Le Tigre albums from my store's 'Espensive Wall
