  • If you’re looking for a truly boutique record shop to buy from and know that your purchases will go to somebody who needs it, look up my fav shop, phonoselect, on Instagram. I’d say they specialize in rare punk gems but have variety across all genres.

Nice. We just moved to Sacramento a few months ago and randomly came across Phono Select when we were out driving once. It's great. They're doing curbside pick-up right now so I've been checking their IG to see if there's anything I might want.

They’re great guys, they used to run Tower Records when it was still open and they still have much of their old inventory from back in the days. Keep an eye out because they have a warehouse full of treasures that they just never have the time to go through, they’ll randomly throw up a white whale and then tell me “they just found it hanging out in the back, been there for years”.

    Interesting... I didn't know that
Ending a friendship is expensive. $1300 with the family lawyer just to write somebody out of the trust.
On the bright side, all these cancelled tours means more time for our favorite artists to write new music.
Did the Deap Lips album really come out yesterday without a mention of it anywhere? Totally forgot I preordered this one.
This Soccer Mommy album is depressing the fuck out of me but I can’t stop listening. Fuck Sophie, it’s Friday! Just let me go for a couple days!

@hatfieldpdx guilty confession time, I’ve never explored Malkmus and now I’m afraid to because I know I’ll probably love it and I have other shit I still need to listen to.

Oh wow, no need to be afraid...are you not familiar with Pavement either? If not, start with Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain and enjoy the ride...
Holy moly, the market is taking a dump! State of the union came a few weeks too early!

I am the proud owner of a Honda. Hooray for reliable vehicles!! Also, yeeeeep, things were looking really decent for us financially, and then I get sick--but at least I am getting all of my deductible out of the way early in the year.

Got tired of fixing the 86 Bronco and bought my second Honda. This time a 2016 civic, wife has the Pilot. Honda love is strong in our house.

It's kinda crazy; next door in Yukon, we're sold out of hand sanitizer. And we're hosting a bunch of international youth athletes in 2 weeks for the Arctic Winter Games. Fear factor seems to be at an 11 for some.
Btw, which island in Alaska? SE, like Sitka or Hoonah? Or out in the Aleutian's?

@TCell what part of YT? I’ve driven the Alaskan highway twice, on the way down we tent camped most of it. Whitehorse was a nice welcoming as we were finally able to get a hotel and eat at a restaurant.

I’m in Kodiak now, but have flown all over and spent weeks out in the Aleutians.

Have never made it out to Kodiak, although I coached against them one time in a basketball tournament. I'm in Whitehorse. Love the north, well, except this morning where I woke up to -20 and blowing snow.
I go back and forth from being completely in love with and despising FKA Twigs’ “cellophane”. Such a mood dependent song for me.
