Blue Marble is now sold out as well.
Is the yellow/orange one different than the Sun Marbled? If so I haven't seen it yet.
This is some wonderful news!View attachment 103240

I kinda like it, seems forward thinking. I would imagine most of that would come with a hypothetical deluxe CD release and since she's not doing CDs, it gives a fanbase without a record player a way to get some sort of physical representation of the purchase with the download. Near idea, I wouldn't be shocked so see some musicians....borrow it in the future.
I think it's not a bad idea but "disc-less" makes it seem like you're getting an empty box. If it was called a poster and card bundle I probably wouldn't question it.FLAC, poster and a 4 card set?

just buy it... backxwash has shown herself to be a wild musician and its a riot of an album from what i know
I agree entirely, I don’t know if Lorde is using recycled materials for the vinyl which is possible, and she did point out her apparel prices are higher based on a choice of an environmentally conscious supplier, but new vinyl production is certainly not the greenest option, though streaming is bad too.“I DECIDED EARLY ON IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING THIS ALBUM THAT I ALSO WANTED TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENTALLY KIND, FORWARD-THINKING ALTERNATIVE TO THE CD."
Sure, forward-thinking if you ignore the looking backward and producing vinyl for your release, which - I believe - a CD in a digipak would have less of an environmental impact than vinyl.
I say this as someone who likes Lorde, loves CDs and vinyl, and will acknowledge their cynicism....but I give a slight eye roll to the description (only slight because I think it is sincere, albeit silly)
Hmmm...that's a good way to look at it. Thanks for the fresh angle. I agree with that sense. Reading it made me think of the beginning of the "name your price" that artists adopted once upon a timeI agree entirely, I don’t know if Lorde is using recycled materials for the vinyl which is possible, and she did point out her apparel prices are higher based on a choice of an environmentally conscious supplier, but new vinyl production is certainly not the greenest option, though streaming is bad too.
I meant forward thinking from a business sense, given CDs aren’t rally recyclable and some portion of her fans won’t have or use a turntable, so it offers an option for a physical release without that as any younger fans want the photos and posters but listen purely digitally.
Damn. Had no idea this was coming. Here's a bit more of the related swag. It's surprising to me how little specific information there is about these pre-orders. It would be nice at least to see some track listings.
