Van's 1968-1974 output are some of my favorite albums. Astral Weeks and Moondance are all time favs for me. I don't think Van's recent anti-lockdown stuff is completely cancellable but it's soured him a lot in my eyes. I won't be buying anything he does and I probably won't see him live if I have the chance to. Prior to 2020 I may have, although he'd easily charge $100+ ticket which probably isn't worth it.
Rad, I am not usually one for Greatest Hits but this greatest hits album was my introduction to The Femms back in Middle School. I love the Tracks “American Music”, “Waitng For The Bus”, “Fall Out The Window”, “Dance Mother Fucker Dance”, but I doubt I would ever purchase any of their LPs outside of their first two. So this would be something I would be really interested in.
It’s a great mix of songs! I would highly encourage people to spend more time with Why do Birds Sing? My favorite femmes album goes back and forth between it and s/t pretty often.
