I was eyeing this for a while because when the listing first went up it was advertised as being on clear vinyl, which would have gone really well with the album cover. But I decided to look to see if it was still around out of curiosity and apparently it got changed to purple sometime after being shipped out, which, while I like purple, makes me glad I didn't go for this immediately because I would have been pretty disappointed. It's just odd that the color of it was changed seemingly out of nowhere.

I know this isn't a very interesting anecdote but this is what happens when I post while sleepy

I just got it and it is indeed disappointingly purple. I didn't even bother taking a pic because it's exactly like on UO's site, very boring and ugly.
It even had a hype sticker saying it was purple so it doesn't seem like a mistake, why purple?

Isn't anything better than clear though? There are far too many clear records.

I'd typically agree with you but in this case the clear vinyl matched with the album cover's color scheme well. And it's especially annoying seeing as purple is the most random color they could have chosen. Even a solid white would have gone better than purple, it's just odd that the color got changed somewhere in the process. I wouldn't have sent it back if I had ordered it or anything but considering they advertised it as one color and then sent out another, I would be pretty miffed as well.

I wasn't thrilled with clear either but at least it fit with the color scheme of the cover. UO variants are usually pretty random and basic anyway so it's not a big deal, it seems like purple or pink is sort of their default.

Not really feeling it but I guess it's not bad. They're one of my favorites too. I love Whiteout Conditions.
 
I didn't want to clutter up @Teeeee 's guess thread more than i already have, but in my research i stumbled across Jewel's 0304. It's not available on vinyl. Apparently it's a more dance album than her usual jams? Has anybody checked it out? Thoughts?

I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, it sounds really similar to some of their other songs but with more emphasis on the electronics and synth. I listened to White Conditions a few times but it didn't grab me like Brill Bruisers did, I think I missed the Dan Bejar contributions.
