Ok, yesterday I had limited music listening time, so I focused on the new The War on Drugs. Diggin in today, and my list is short so far:

For those of you who dug into the new releases yesterday, what emerged as a must listen?
TWOD which you've already listened to. As well as Mastodon, Tori Amos and Marissa Nadler. All must hear albums imo.

That new War on Drugs album is gonna be a grower on me I think. The last two were instant classics, but nothing on the new one really gave me any immediate WOW moments.

That Mastodon album was a nice mix of old and new aesthetics for the band, but I think it's a bit too long to keep my attention for the full length. The band was definitely going through some tough times during the writing period though, that's for sure.

I think both albums are growers and will reveal itself more and more with each subsequent listens 🎶

Jenny Lewis has a new single out. Dave Cobb produced, it's really back to the roots of her music and really good. I am hoping this means a new album in 2022. Feels a lot like Late Bloomer from The Voyager.
