It’s the discount grocery store that my mom would shop at when my dad was late with the child support check. Cheap food, you have to self bag, and since they had no cart jockeys, you would have to deposit a quarter to use a cart and would get the quarter back when you returned the cart to cart holder place.

I went to Aldi once in a pinch without any knowledge of the cart or bag thing. No change in my car so I was running around the store with things in my arms like an IDIOT

Aldi and Tesco over across the pond have been selling vinyl for several years now. I think they even have had some exclusive pressings. I remember reading about The Clash and The Jam having exclusive coloured vinyl pressings for Mothers day or some such thing

I remember several years ago before Amazon bought them, I had heard Whole Foods was carrying records. I never saw it though.

I really didn’t get into music until the tail end of the Grunge era and while I know lots of people who were a bit older than me look down on post-grunge and understandably so the copy is rarely as good as the original, but for me Stone Temple Pilots and Nirvana and Bush and Pearl Jam were all equally awesome.

I hated the late 90s/early 2000s post-grunge stuff in real time. Couldn’t stand Creed, Day of The New, Staind, Puddle of Mudd, I hated them all.
I imagine to those who already hated the first wave post-grunge bands, it was probably pretty easy to lump them together but for me that first group was much more palatable than what would come after.

I totally forgot that Albini did a Bush album. I need to revisit that one. Also Gavin was good in the Constantine movie. I still find it crazy how post-grunge morphed into new New Country
