Sturgill Simpson - Metamodern Sounds in Country Music

Add me to the list of people who took way too long to get into country music. Outside of Johnny Cash, I just had no interest. It wasn’t until 2016 when I heard Sturgill’s A Sailor’s Guide to Earth that I realized I may be missing out on something great.

Since then I’ve been a journey discovering more and more country music. I don’t own Sailor’s Guide on vinyl yet, so spinning this instead. Also a fantastic album.
