Day 27: Underplayed

Underplayed for a reason...as I and most people consider it the weakest Morrison era Doors album. It's not as bad as the post-Morrison albums, but even I seem to play those more than this one. This has some good tracks, but they added backing bass and strings and that just don't work for me.

Day 24 - Label Love

It sure seemed like I was going with Numero there...but since I already expressed my love for them, I'll go with another favorite of mine.

New West Records

Steve Earle and the Dukes (and Duchesses) - The Low Highway

I love so many NW bands. And I have to say, their 20th Anniversary Box Set is really, really good.

I chose Steve Earle today because he played in Detroit the same night we already had tix for Lyle Lovett on Thursday. Lyle was amazing, I'm hoping Steve Earle was too.

PS I'm day drinking.

Also, this is a great record.

Canned Heat - Future Blues

Of course there are plenty of records I forget about or don't feel like playing much, but this came up on the Discogs randomizer and I haven't played it in a few years. This is the only record I bought at the only record fair I've been to. Great album. I should spin my Canned Heat more often.
