It Could Get A Bit Messi In Here - The Football Thread.

Brighton game on the weekend called off. I think it's only a matter of time for more clubs to have similar outbreaks.

My Portland Timbers are hosting the MLS Cup final tomorrow. I managed to get tickets, and a wristband to enter early and sit in the Timbers Army, with 3600 of the most passionate football fans in North America. The Timbers won the Cup in 2015, but that was in Columbus. Tomorrow, for the first time, we have the opportunity to raise the Cup in Providence Park. It's supposed to be 40 degrees and pouring rain with heavy gusts of wind. Just the way we like it! Not sure I'll be able to think about much else for the next 24 hours. #RCTID

They did the redraw then? Because this morning I read we’d got PSG but that UEFA had messed up the draw lol
yup they did. I think they messed up removing balls from each pot after a team was drawn so they had to redo it.

The original draw was:
  • Benfica vs Real Madrid
  • Villarreal vs Manchester City
  • Atletico Madrid vs Bayern Munich
  • RB Salzburg vs Liverpool
  • Inter Milan vs Ajax
  • Sporting CP vs Juventus
  • Chelsea vs Lille
  • PSG vs Manchester United

I think I might be alone in not caring about the Messi vs. Ronaldo matchup. that match would have been hyped to the heavens.
