Hip Hop

10/10 Kendrick's album is the most honest, self-reflective, socially conscious, multidimensional album I've ever heard. It was an exhausting listen, I had to pause twice because the tracks are so dense. You can just tell every musical flourish and vocal distortion is intentional and all meant to convey something specific. Each song seems to reflect a different aspect of Kendrick's persona, admitting his own past and present prejudices and shortcomings as a human. Fucking. Being.

"You wonder how I could talk about money, hoes, clothes, God and history
All in the same sentence.
You know what all them things have in common?
Only half of the truth if you tell it.
See I spent twenty-three years on this earth searching for answers,
Til' one day I realized I had to come up with my own.
I'm not on the outside looking in, I'm not on the inside looking out -- I'm in the dead fucking center, looking around." K Dot 2011

This record store i stumbled upon in Carrollton GA (country nowhere) somehow got most of DJ Clue's record collection when he had IRS troubles. Tons of singles and OG presses, an album signed by common to Clue, etc. I got a ghost face Killa "run" promo single
