Fresh Grabs

Hey, those of you that picked up the Makaya McCraven 3 LP. What are you doing with the discs? Are you keeping them in between the gatefold or are you putting one in one pocket and jamming 2 into the other pocket?

These magic sleeves are the solution to your problems 😉

Very excited about this one. Feist's debut album, which she's all but decided doesn't exist. Originally released on her own on CD, five years before Let It Die, and then finally reissued on vinyl in 2012 in apparently limited quantities. I almost bought this on Discogs for $50 before I realized it was still available *on her fucking website* for $20. Not sure why I didn't buy this earlier. I've never heard a note from it so I'm really excited for my first spin.

I can vouch for these. They are awesome. I bought a pack for all my 3 or 4 LPs in a gatefold or trifold.

I’ve had an MP3 version of this for ages. Had the $50 press on my want list, so thanks for letting me know about the website!

not really a grab but I did have the pleasure Monday night of attending the midnight hour show here locally in Seattle. Two and a half hour set followed by some really inspirational insight from Ali shaheed and Adriane young. Great stuff; really too much to talk about so I’d just say catch them live for an amazing show. Plus they stick around at the end to chat take pics and sign whatever you brought or bought. Can’t believe they autographed all my swag.

I sometimes don't quite understand how Amazon works. I decided to fill out my Element of Crime collection (German indie/chanson group) and picked up 3 albums for €21 shipped, and now they're delivering them one by one via DHL Express to Norway. Would have thought that alone cost more than €21. I'm happy though.

My first visit in a wee while, I’ve been being good.

A compilation of unreleased numbers from the Tribe record label and the latest (and 100th) issue of Straight No Chaser.

Something of an impulse buy from Petter Eldh and Christian Scott.

The latest Soul Jazz reissue of this Steve Reid LP, Rhythmatism. The last one was great so high hopes for this too. And the latest J-Jazz reissue from BBE.
