Joy is a feeling a strong happiness so I gotta go with “Happy” for today! This album is such a guilty pleasure for me, it’s so goofy and fun and it always puts a smile on my face
27. Just a Little Lovin'
song made famous by Dusty Springfield
the only connection I have in my record collection that features Dusty is this album where she is on backing vocals for my fathers gun
Ok, so today’s song title got me thinking of breakup albums in general and my pick today is one of the best.
The Cure - Disintegration
Thanks so much @Lee Newman for putting this together. I had a lot of fun digging out albums I hadn’t played in a while or were more recent acquisitions that needed some extra time on my deck
Lonnie Smith - Live At Club Mozambique Decided to go with the good Doctor here. There isn’t a trumpet featured on this top notch live set recorded in 1970 but Lee Morgan had played on a couple of Lonnie’s late 60s albums (Think & Turning Point Respectively) just a couple years prior.
Matthew Sweet & Susanna Hoffs "Under The Covers Vol. 1" (2006 Shout! Factory; 2020 reissue)
Includes a(nother) cover of Dylan's "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue".
