    New Music Friday!

Shameless plug: A friend of mine from my hometown just dropped her new single today. Sort of a cross between Masseduction-era St. Vincent and newer Dua Lipa. I'm an indie rock guy myself but I dig it. Check it out! @iamroyalmusic

    Top Rock Albums 2011-2021

I should have mentioned White Reaper! I saw them open for Spoon in 2017 and have been hooked ever since. Not a huge fan of You Deserve Love but I love their first two records. World's Best American Band is the perfect mix between their earlier garage sound and their later pop sound.

Your Top 3 Classic Rock Albums

Haha. I’d love to claim them as our own (I’m Canadian) but they made what I think is their greatest material (Basement Tapes, Music from Big Pink, Self Titled) in upstate New York. And I always associate them with Americana. I really hope this does not open up a can of worms and have a bunch of...

Should you insure your collection and system?

I went through this recently (updating my insurance policy - not making a claim). I was told by my agent that my gear is covered though my insurance on my personal contents and that my record collection had to be covered through a separate rider, similar to an art collection or stamp...

If you want a good intro to Outlaw Country, I'd suggest Wanted! The Outlaws, which is essentially a compilation of previously released material by Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jessi Colter, and Tompall Glaser, all essential artists within the genre. It was intended to be a cash grab in the...

    Emo/Pop Punk/Hardcore Thread !

Former Warped Tour attendee here. 2002 - 2007. I discovered a lot of great punk bands during that period including NoFX and Bad Religion plus a lot of pop punk bands like the Early November and the Matches. $39.50 CDN for a whole day of punk shows! One of the best pop punk concerts I ever...

Totally! I picked up the Soft Effects EP reissue the other day. That should be it for a while. Do you know if the Slay on Cue remasters are much different? Spoon records already sound great with no need for remastering IMHO, with the exception of TWMS and Hot Thoughts, which is more due to...
