I've played Euphoria more in the past couple days than I've ever played any track back to back. There are so many puns and double meanings to unpack and I think it's impressive as hell. I agree with those saying K Dot's execution has not been as clean and the tracks are not as listenable as Push Ups was, but if the goal is to lyrically disembowel somebody rather than make a hit track then Kendrick is winning by miles. We already know Drake can make hit tracks with unmatchable frequency, but rap battles are about lyrically destroying someone on a personal level not making catchy songs.

For those who haven't been following, the tracks involved in the beef so far are, in this order:

First person shooter (Drake and Cole)
Like that (Kendrick)
7 minute drill (Cole)
Pushups (Drake)
Taylor Made freestyle (Drake)
Champagne Moments (Ross)
Euphoria (Kendrick)
6:16 in LA (Kendrick)
Family matters (Drake)
Meet the grahams (Kendrick)
Not Like Us (Kendrick)
The Heart Pt. 6 (Drake)

Already like an album's worth of material, I hope Drake responds quicker this time so this shit keeps rolling because I'm having a great time.

At this point, I’m starting to feel bad for Drake. These two are playing completely different games. Drake is battling like MC’s used to battle. Kendrick is absolutely attempting to destroy the core of this guy’s soul. I’m not sure what Drake did to Kendrick, but it was a mistake. This last track didn’t even sound like a battle rap. It sounded like a thorough undressing of Drake as a human being. It’s kind of unfair at this point. Drake should just stop now.

I don't know how to feel about Drake doing this to Kendrick. This is fucked up if true and even if not this shit being resurfaced like this now is fucking with that mans life and career.

I saw this on Drake reddit a couple days ago but there are no links to the original source. All the links are write ups on not reputable sites. Anything tracing back to 2014 is dead and the ones before don't have any video or further proof. Just a statement from the lady

Also we know Kendrick cheated on Whitney. He admitted it on Mr Morale. It happened on the Good Kid Maad City tour a decade ago. He was very clear he too was in therapy

Yeah that's usually what happens to things like this when you supposedly "hire a crisis management team" to handle that shit for you 😂😂





And yeah hearing Kendricks take on his own fuck ups just doesn't hit the same way as what Drake just did with that shit lol. We knew a lot of stuff Kendrick said about Drake too already. Push really spoiled us with the way he body bagged that man.

All in all as of right now "Like That" and "Family Matters" are gonna be the only songs that last in my playlist after this. Push Ups might get a few more plays as well.


Family Matters is fiiiiire though.


Kendrick did a good job playing to a certain audience but really let me down as far as making a quality diss song. Seems like most folks were just happy he responded more than anything and were ready to hand him a W regardless. Kinda took some of the fun out of all of this to me but I'll be alright lol.

Yea I've seen the interview of him denying it in the past. I was looking for proof that it was real and happened. Not accusations. also saw the comment of a management team on reddit days ago in the same post. Seems like reddit wrote his "bomb" for him cuz he was rapping the comments from the reddit post of 2 days ago

The pusha t narrative is corny. Kendrick dismantled this man's whole life. Called him a drug addicted sex pervert that leaked his own video of his dick. He said he has sex offenders on payroll lol he said his parents raised a monster while making it seem like a letter to every member of his family. Pusha told us he was hiding a child, his baby momma was a porn star and 40 had MS

Lol That's gonna be Lebrons reaction when he hears Kendrick say keep the family away^^^

maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, but I personally don't want diss tracks to be playlist tracks... I didn't care if it has a catchy beat or a hook, I want to screw my face up and say "OH SHIT!" after every other line.

the Drake track was good, better than I would have given him credit for, but unless it's a reference or something that I'm missing, when Drake did the whole "hands on the knees and shake your ass" or whatever, I realized that this dude wasn't really being serious.

Oh and the Dave Free shit is absurd. It's crazy he made that track talking about Kendricks wife that way then Kendrick drops 30 minutes after calling him sick and everything but the devil lol like he knew what Drake was gonna do once again

Yeah you misunderstood. Drakes track did all of that for me plus it works as a "playlist track." It's the "full package"(pause).



Like I said, Ether, Hit Em Up, No Vaseline, Sweet, Story of Adidon, Like That, Family Matters etc... were/are all playlist songs for me.


And that's my point. Why would I have to settle?

Man it was like watching a movie where the antagonist is beating ass the whole time then finally there's a hero moment from the protagonist and ur just like FUCKING FINALLY. That's how I felt when he started saying what needed to be addressed

Yeah we're all looking for proof of all of these accusations, which is why my main focus is always song quality first.

Yeah yeah those damn narratives amiright. Always corny when they don't work in our favor lol. Like you just stated about wanting proof, what Kenny took from Push was proven. Then there's a lot of accusations and name calling and shit on both ends. Fun stuff indeed.

Edit: I gotta admit Kendrick being a supposed woman beater with old articles and interviews having to explain it away ain't the best look though.

Yes the Kendrick shit looks bad. Like i said it does look like any real trace back was wiped out. Was it because it was false or to protect him? Who knows

Drake really settled a case of sexual assault for 500k. Then later it's said the lady he settled with was lying. Crazy to agree to pay 500k to a liar

This has been a crazy 24+ hours. I can't imagine what comes next at this point
 
i do think kendrick needs to talk about the domestic abuse situation, though it kinda feels like he is implying that mr morale was his response to how awful he treated people in the past, it still needs a full discussion and debunking of what happened to really go through


meet the grahams is a fucking homicide though... not just with the allegations (HIDING AN 11 YEAR OLD), but just in the way kendrick structures and presents the song.. he feels like a tired man who has seen this shit happen and is son-ing drake and his family as hard as possible. he sounds almost defeated, sorry for all the faults they went through. only raising his voice when he knows that drake is scum deserving of it...

i feel this could get violent if not responded well enough
