Looks like E-40 is the same tracklist as the Promo from 1996, which is disappointing cuz it's missing a few great tracks from the CD version. Deciding if I actually want it now...
I’m definitely in for E-40. It’s his second best album to me and it’s only ever been released as a clean promo album before this. I really prefer when VMP release things which deserve play and recognition but may not necessarily be classics
As one in my mid 20s, this is very true and is a good part of what I decide to get and what I don't.
I would say the main factor for me is time. I'm a graduate student, and I don't have a lot of free time to have any true "listening sessions" with records. This means that I try to choose albums...
I just listened to mine and I noticed the same right-channel noise as side D at the very beginning of Mainstream. I think it just gets drowned out a lot quicker than on side D just due to the song and the static from the sample. I really only noticed it on either side when listening through...
Damn but sounds about right... My most recent package sent from MA 2.5 weeks ago to NJ to San Fran to LAX to NC to DC to NC and finally in SC but not delivered yet... can't help but laugh at this point😅
Hey y'all, sorry I got back yesterday and then I was too tired to remember this until now. Not sure if any of this got sorted out but if there was one saved for me then great, otherwise it's no big deal! I just appreciate everyone trying to help us all out!
I will be backpacking, likely without cell service, so I won't be able to go to my local or update my post day-of. I only have one I'm really looking for! Any help is greatly appreciated :)
Kenny Dorham -- Quiet Kenny
I'm in the same boat having that '89 3 Feet OG press but no DLSID... Debating whether I should upgrade to a newer 3 Feet or if I should just roll with the OG, which I never thought sounded as bad as everyone said
Most of the local online stores have it as well, but for the same price. Popmarket has it for cheaper:

Just FYI you can still get vinyl from vinyl-digital if interested, I got mine a few months ago, shipping to the states is super reasonable (albeit untracked)

Trying to find more jazz in my local stores.
Freddie Hubbard — Here to Stay
Herbie Nichols — The Third World
The Horace Silver Quintet & Trio — Blowin’ The Blues Away
Never heard of Herbie Nichols before (gasp) and bought on a whim (I’ve loved the re-issue series from BN so far). I’m...
I may literally start implementing a $/min limit, like anything under $1.50/minute of music I’m possibly willing to spend on a record. This is ridiculous… but it won’t stop anyone anyway lol
I don’t know if this was known but I was browsing vinyl digital last night and saw that there’s a repress of The Iceberg by Oddisee. Coming in late May on black & white pinwheel. Assuming it’ll be at US distros then too...
Gibbs you'd have to subscribe this month or else wait for it to possibly be available next month (assuming it doesn't sell out). MOTM would be available after swap period (basically after April 1st I think)
I have a subscription if you want me to grab them for you, I'd be happy to ship...
