New ultrasonic vinyl cleaner in the works: Humminguru

ok. just ran into a problem for the first time with this thing (had it since the first release so not bad in terms of usage/time), but the records no longer spin. It's not a record thickness problem not connecting with the motorized side of the wheel. is this something I can fix on my own? Is there a how-to to take a look at the motor that spins? I've got some history with soldering and taking stuff apart and putting it back together again so I dont mind doing the work.
Possible the rollers themselves might be worn? They are a wear item, mine came with some spares.

Have you heard back from them?
yeah since they're in china im on a 24 hour delay from their initial email to my response and so on and so forth. they just sent me how much its going to cost to get the PCB and the doo-hickey that spins the wheels that needs to be replaced (about $50 USD). Just waiting on the invoice hopefully early in the morning tomorrow.

I ended up buying one of those gimmicky holographic records from Romanus Records since it was the only option. Has anyone here tried putting one of those in an ultrasonic?
Yeah if it's like the GnR Appetite from a few years ago with the side 4 hologram, it wasn't affected by the Degritter...

Small update on my power issues, fwiw. The machine completely gave up and so Humminguru recommending changing both power cable and PCB for about $55 shipped. I counted and this is now my 4th problem (PCB and motor, fans, water pump, power cable/PCB) adding up to about $155 in total. They've all been easy to fix. But I think this is going to be the last one - next thing that goes wrong, I need to get a new machine or change to something else.

Can’t blame you.

Humminguru parts arrived, but the link with installation instructions expired 😭

I emailed them, but I doubt they get back to me before the weekend starts.

I may try and freehand this. It's only 2 parts.

Give me a sec I might still have that….

EDIT: I don’t but. You take the top off by using a screwdriver to the right of centre on each side to release a couple of clips and then it pull off. With it back upright you will see your motor housing on the right hand side. Take out the two small screws on the diagonal and it lifts off. The motor lifts out and clips out of its control board. Make sure to keep the small plastic bit that fits over the shaft and goes inside the wheel to put on the new motor. Now do the opposite and that’s the job done!

what's being replaced? one of us may have the doc...
