My impression was that all the 40% off sales are to empty out VMP's old stock because they will be moving warehouses with the new plant? I recall that's what the initial press around VMPressing suggested.

Not really because they aren’t replating those as far as I know. Unless there were massive issues with the first pressing (aside from the music on it boom roasted).
Jokes aside I think plating stuff at VMPlant will be an upgrade over the stuff plated at GZ if all goes well. Vinyl formula could potentially alter things a bit too.
