I just noticed that Lankum is some sort of meme that I donā€™t get which is pretty impressive considering how much time I spend here.

I just played the song ā€œgo dig my graveā€ it sounds like A24 horror movies make me feel. Meaning I understand why people would find this appealing but also that itā€™s not for me.

Itā€™s one of the albums over the last few years from here that have begun to transcend just being Irish music and to actually just be good in a wider and more interesting sense. Thereā€™s something going on here right now and itā€™s very interesting.

Whilst it absolutely wonā€™t be everyoneā€™s cup of tea itā€™s done enough, baring the above in mind, to be in this conversation on its own merits.

I kinda bristled a bit at an earlier post saying that a list that had it at 1 was trying too hard and a whole in joke grew from that lol!
