Why are all those $25 records priced over $40?

Well they are $18 if you sign up for a year

That ain't too shabby and is likely the best price you'll find for a long time.

I’m up for renewal this month but going to let it lapse and maybe going to take advantage of this deal. Is the 80 referral credit to your store account or does it take 80 dollars off price of the sub? My problem would be finding 8 free records to pick. I know of two in the free stuff that I would actually really want. Trying to stop buying shit just because it’s a good deal.

I know some people are getting some records they want and then selling the others to subsidize the subscription even further or trading them into a local.

I think you will have to let your current membership expire then resub after swaps close.

you can also use another email address without any issue to start a new account.

I just did the same and I would be hard pressed to get to 8...

Went ahead and "joined the club" with another email. Why'd that feel like I did something illegal . I decided to start with Ray Charles and chose these as my bonus records.

Really glad I did this actually. I've been buying so few VMP records since the price hike a while ago because I've been month to month and a lot of those records I couldn't justify spending $53 on. $18 a month is far easier to swallow.

absolutely excellent choices. That Ernest Hood is so good. And honestly I'm shocked that Spirit in the Dark is still available. i've now gotten 3 copies of it to gift to various friends and family.

yea--I couldn't find 8 either since I either have the ones I want or don't love some choices. but I grabbed a few for friends for christmas presents and have seen lots of other people sell their bonus records for a little less than VMP charges pretty easily. can help to subsidize the plan even more.

you can sign up with any previous ROTM but don't know if you can swap for credit or a store exclusive on your first month?

definitely the other hold up i think for many people and since you don't like jazz you have less choice haha. at $18 a record in the US, it's a bit easier to take a chance on something and sell if ya don't like it. there have been a few months lately where i haven't wanted anything enough so have swapped for store credit then used that on anthologies, Dolly or something in the store.
