Television

With Barry and Succession winding down (and finishing Yellowjackets on the side), I'm now eyeing my next show. Here's the list:

Jury Duty
Bupkis
Shrinking
Santa Clarita Diet
Devs
Escape at Dannemora
Beef
Getting On
Deadwood
Rome
Snowfall
Halt and Catch Fire
Detroiters
Mythic Quest
Friday Night Lights

I can usually handle 2 or 3 at once, especially if it's just started and only 1 season thus far.

Devs is nice since it is a single season (10eps?).
I enjoyed Mythic Quest, though the 3rd season was a bit middling.
We loved Santa Clarita Diet. Timothy Oliphant is a comedic treasure.
Another vote for Devs. Then again, I'm an Alex Garland fanboy so...

Mythic Quest and Shrinking are both easy, nice watches. Devs stressed me out towards its conclusion and ultimately I found it mildly unsatisfying. Beef is great, probably one of the best shows I've watched this year. Friday Night Lights is a fun one to watch, and even when it's not that great, just know it picks back up.

I think the
time jump
in Barry totally makes sense now and feels right. Things are starting to come together even more. And that sequence with Sally…Jesus.

I don't know if it's just me. But I think the fake soundstage snow sets on Yellowjackets this season are just TERRIBLE. I don't know if the budget got cut or they just didn't have much snow last season but dear lord every scene with the fake cold breath and the potato flakes are just so painfully obviously fake I'm almost starting to go down the "Lost" rabbit hole and think they're actually doing it on purpose.

Deadwood!

I am enjoying the masters. It’s nice not to see anyone being completely outclassed though I still think Buddha is probably the favorite at this point,
Yes enjoying this season. Like that there is very little drama, just great chefs cooking.

Team Poppy here. He just seems like he is just having fun and is surprised he makes it through each episode.

I'd like to see one of the Top Chef Middle East / North Africa guys make the finale too. Ali or Charbel (if he makes it out of LCK). I've been really impressed both their cooking and their stories. Buddha is definitely a favorite, but his (rightful) confidence does rub me the wrong way sometimes.
