Definitive Audiophile pressings

I picked up the repress of Sinatra at the Sands - Sinatra 100 pressing and gotta say, this thing sounds great. Pressed in Holland--is that Record Industry? It's dead quiet and flat and is really well done. Got mine at DD but should be available at other places.
I have an OG but and Amazing album through and through.

Sooooo, had one of those "I'm bored everything is boring I'm gunna buy stuff so things aren't boring" kind of weeks and went a liiiiitle crazy with the purchases.
These are all incoming:

Talking Book is Quitex vinyl from 77. Kinda taking a shot with that one, figured what the hell. The two Bowies are the usual "get the OG UK or US but if you can't then get these JPs"... so because I love obis and the pressing quality, it's the JPs for me. And Aqualung I blame on @marshall. He brought over the Mofi and the UHQR and they were both so spectacular compared to my Wilson mix copy in terms of sounds quality and punch that I had to get one of them. The UHQR is too pricy for me so I went Mofi. Technically the UHQR is the better of the two I think, it hews more balanced and natural but the Mofi mix absolutely rips. It's like Jethro Tull turned up to 11. The drums are absolutely massive and the whole thing is just super fun, even if it's not exactly accurate to the original mix like... at all.

Nice! Report back on that Talking Book when you get a chance.

Yeah I will, if it's anything like the early 80s JP of Songs In The Key Of Life I have then I'll be thrilled. That one is insanely good and cheaper than a reissue. I think you have the same one.

I do - It's really great (I actually heard both that one and the 1976 and I can't tell the difference). I also have Innervisions 1977 which is also excellent. Talking Book and Music On My Mind are probably the next ones on my list from him.

I’m a huge fan of the Mofi. I’ve had the DCC and Classic(same stampers as the UHQR) and found both completely lifeless. Drums on My God are insaneeeee.

It's an album that I've never really had much of a connection to, and like I said I have the Wilson Mix and it really didn't do much for me. But when Marshall brought over the those two copies I was absolutely floored by both of them. But the drums on the Mofi are just bananas. It's so fun. Like I never really thought I'd want to head bang to Aqualung but here we are. Very much looking forward to this one arriving.

Dammit why can’t a find a good GIF of the Sister Christian scene from Boogie Nights

Well... despite sellers putting really low values on overseas items I'm now getting nailed on every single DHL import for about $35 in fees. Even on single discs. I guess I'm officially on "the list". This is going to complicate the bi-weekly Japanese vinyl orders.

Easy fix; change your name by deed poll. Leave a note for Night Mather, I'm sure he can help you out.
