Definitive Audiophile pressings

anybody know P-Vine records? Looks like they just acquired Weldon Irvine's entire catalogue and copyrights to all master tapes including unreleased material....hope they do nice work!
P-Vine is the label that released the Japanese "Juju – Live At 131 Prince Street" back in 2019 and that is really good. I haven't actually listened to it for a while so I need to dig it out.

BoomBoom does all of IRs stuff now I think! This one is on my list to pick up…this is also going to be the last IR pressing done at RTI. They are moving to Gotta Groove for everything else from now on!

I was waiting for BoomBoom’s new all tube recording to come into stock at AS to order this and White Light for free shipping… but the Kirsten Edkins all tube pressing hasn’t popped up in stock at AS yet….anybody get a shipping notice for it? Seems to have already sold out at In Groove and elusive Disk and hasn’t popped up anywhere else…

Got my AS shipping notification today. You should be good.

Got in Chicken Fat and Soul On Top on the Verve By Request Series.
Mel Brown is a little flat on it IMO but good funky music.
James Brown is badass. Sounds excellent.

Both mastered by RKS but would guess Chicken Fat is digital source and Soul On Top is analog. Just has another level of sound quality.

Soul On Top is a remix and digital.

Man I don't know what changed but every Ella Japan shipment is getting hit with DHL fees now, even though they're only declaring it as $20 value. Up until 2023 that wasn't the case.

Come to think of it I believe the last couple have been like that for me as well. It happened one or twice before, so I didn't pay much mind. But come to think of it, yeah, this could be a new pattern.

And how do you know this? I am not saying it's not true. The item descriptions just state analog tape transfers. Nothing about remixing.

edit: NM. I found where they put in the press release. "This reissue features a new mix of the original album by legendary bassist and James Brown superfan Christian McBride and UMe A&R Vice President Harry Weinger."

Sounds good to me. They did a fine job.
