been awhile since i've ordered from them.....but how is Record City with their VG+ grading? conservative? or should i expect some noise?

Everything I’ve purchased has been pretty true to grade, if not a touch conservative

It’s visual grading, so really depends, but overall I’d say they’re on target. I’ve gotten a couple that we’re pretty far off VG+, but they credited me/agreed with me after sending sound samples. They use the EX grade too, so that’s what to look for if you want something pretty minty.

I think I am firm with the AP 45 L.A. Woman is the definitive.
It squashes the RHF pretty easily on my system.

Mainly due to the length of this album.

Yeah the AP 45s of the Doors albums are pretty hard to beat (other than the S/T, which they say the DCC is best) but I think the Rhino Hi-Fi's compare pretty well to original 33 RPM pressings.
