It's not the ending I originally wanted, but I think it makes the most sense and packs a really good punch, from an emotional character perspective - which is what the show is. I have often thought BCS is just leagues better than BB. But I think now that it's over, I'm gonna watch BB all the way through and then do a full re-watch of BCS. BB is a great show, but I just have found myself preferring Saul's arc over Walt's. Also BCS has Kim and she's my favorite of either of the shows.

I loved the BCS ending. One thing, at least for me, when comparing Saul Gone to Felina

Felina was so over the top, IMO, like Walter was suddenly a death machine, mowing down Nazis with his trunk mounted, remote controlled machine gun. I liked the quiet nature of Saul Gone, and I'm a sucker for a bittersweet ending (one of my favorite movies as a teen was Green Card, FFS.
 
I was a bit unsure of the final season but I liked the BCS ending too. Its a little without flair but I think the swings of Jimmy's case during the last show really showcases all aspects of Jimmy's character arc.

He shows that he's a really smart lawyer and knows how to navigate the system & the law for his own personal gain but ends up folding his hand because of his affection for Kim. But the best part of all that is he's still a morally corrupt character but his love for Kim is never in question. He was going to "get away with it" but throws it all away when he hears what could happen to her. So in then end of the show - the question of do you like Saul? it's a bit more questionable and complex than Walter White.

As for BCS or BB which is better? At some point of BCS, i thought the show was surpassing BB which really surprised me because when do spinoff shows do better than the original show? I think heading into the last season, the fire behind BB ending is much stronger which might tip me to like BB a bit more. But both shows are fantastic imo.
 
Catching up on Sandman.

I know this Netflix series is based off of a comic, but is there any connection to the video game Dreamfall / Dreamfall Chapters?

Particularly the crow. Same personality, and I think the same voice actor.

Highly recommend the comic book. I like the show, so not making a better/worse comparison. However, the comic makes a masterful use of paneling in progressing the story (especially when Dream is first a captive).

I do like in the show that they don't spell everything out, but readers of the comic would understand. For example, Death and Dream mention the prodigal son (readers of the comic will know which sibling that is, but the show doesn't tell you...yet). Not really easter eggs, but I like that they don't just spoon feed everything in the narrative.

Comics are easy to come by. They've been pressed in anthologies time and again (10 volumes), and you can readily find used copies.
 
The Rehearsal

Leading up to this finale I had read a lot of weird theories about what might happen, or what might be reveled in the finale. And I think it's great that it never did a big reveal of anything. We all kind of expected that, but that's not really this show. Ultimately, I feel like it's a much deeper meditation on Nathan Fielder himself than anything, or a mediation on the entire concept of the show and the ethical dilemmas inside of it. And I'm thrilled it got a season two order cause I can't wait to see what he does next.

Dude, it’s HBO, if there’s one thing they can do it’s make excellent looking TV. Amazon and Apple will probably get there eventually HBO I am sure still has the names of all the GOT wardrobe and makeup people on file.

We will see if the storylines live up to the predecessor but I am certain it will at the very least look the part.

But will HBO still make great television under Discovery? Or will it suffer from a budget?
